This qualification prepares trainee teachers and trainers to teach in a wide range of contexts. To achieve this qualification there is a requirement for teaching practice to be observed and assessed. This qualification has replaced the previous Level 4 Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS).
Who should attend?
Any person who has an interest in developing Education and Training. Learners who have previously attended the Level 3 Education and Training qualification, can use unit 1 of this qualification as RPL (Recognised Prior Learning).
This course has 6 modules, equating to a total of 36 credits:
- Understand roles and responsibilities in Education and Training
- Plan to meet the needs of learners in Education and Training
- Deliver Education in and Training
- Assess learners in Education and Training
- Using resources for Education and training
- Inclusive Practice
Benefits of the Course
On completion of this qualification each learner will receive a recognised qualification by Pearson. You will be knowledgeable in regards to the requirements of your role as a trainer/teacher and enhance the learning of students across a variety of learning environments.
Learners will complete a 1 hour Micro-Teach session on a subject of your choice; 2 knowledge-based assignments; a reflective account and complete 30 hours of teaching delivery. There will be 2 workplace observations carried out.
This course is delivered over 42 hours, carried over 8 weeks. There will be approximately 30 hours of home study and preparation.
Courses can be carried out at our fit for purpose venue, details below, or your chosen venue. Courses carried out off-site will undergo a rigorous risk assessment to ensure suitability for the delivery of your session.
