Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Level 3
HEALTHCARE AND SAFETY TRAINING
Previously known as Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA), this course designed in line with local and national safeguarding procedures, All Wales Induction Framework and QCF Framework. This qualification provides learners with the knowledge of safeguarding referrals and process to carry out internal investigations.
Who should attend?
Anyone working in Health and Social Care who plays a role in dealing with the referrals of safeguarding reports and undergoing investigations – Primarily senior management and registered managers.
The course will cover:
- How to manage immediate risks
- Capacity and consent issues relevant to the safeguarding process
- Roles and responsibilities during referral and investigation process
- How to support others during this difficult time
- What to do/not to do during the referral.
Benefits of the Course
Learners will be provided with the knowledge and skills of how to identify and work with adult safeguarding situations, allowing then to feel confident with their roles. Learners will be provided with case studies to adopt a problem-solving approach to difficult situations.
Learners will undergo formative assessments throughout the delivery, along with multiple case studies.
This course is delivered over 14 hours.
